Every year around 4 million people die due to wood and charcoal fumes from cooking, 50% of these are children affected by pneumonia and other respiratory diseases. Yet, several interventions promoting efficient cook-stoves totally fail consumer adoption due to the lack of basic ergonomic and aesthetic considerations. The Jet Zoom stove was designed with the idea that regardless of economic conditions, users have the same aspirations whether at the top or base of the pyramid and we needed a product that went beyond functionality; providing entitlement along will to succeed and pride.
